Beautiful Winter

Filed Under winter | 42 comments

Just sharing some beauty around me today.

I stopped the car and hopped out to capture this moment — the woman behind me patiently waited till I turned and gave a  “thank-you wave

She rolled down the window as she drove around me saying…” ohhh how I wish I had my camera today!”

I told her some of my shots don’t always turn out the way I see them — but I took her address down. Then after downloading and bringing this up I had to  pop  this into the mail for her.

A great shot in your computer never shared isn’t really a great shot is it?

Lastly — came across this great chandelier!  Look at the fun colors — wouldn’t this be fun in a PINK child’s room??

Remember to focus on all the wonderfulness in your life and soon you will be amazed at how much more will be there!

I know this particular lady was so overjoyed that she
waited on you, and in exchange she was able to capture
this moment as well. What an eye you have behind the lens
of your camera. I absolutely love to come and see what you
    have captured each visit.

Hope you have a warm and wonderful weekend sweetie.

  18. Terri says:

Hi Claudia, Amazing and beautiful.  Not that I don’t love the whimsical chandelier — in fact, right up my alley, but the winter pictures are  breathtaking. I imagine a couple having fought, he stops the car and she gets out, he pulls over.  She runs into the snow under the icy trees not taking her coat or gloves; he catches her, kisses her quivering lips, takes his coat off and wraps it around her and says, “It doesn’t matter; nothing matters; I’m your husband and I love you. If we can’t forgive each other then what’s this life about.”  — makes you forget what the argument was all about. Her response was all that matters — what do  you think it was?  Something like, a downward glance with a slight smile, arm in arm they head back to the car, “I love you”, she says quite softly, but he heard her. — That is what photos like this do to my imagination.  So thanks for inspiring us.  Blessings Terri

Those are absolutely beautiful photographs!! I love to try to capture nature in my photos as well but sometimes it just never comes out right. I’m in San Antonio and we NEVER get snow so it’s fun to look at photos as beautiful as yours and imagine how nice must be!! And I’m loving that pink chandelier!! It would be perfect in my daughter’s room!!
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  41. Dear Claudia,
These photographs are magazine worthy. Better than that; they are ‘art’ and as I sit here looking at them over and over again, I am there in that magical, enchanting winter wonderland. You are so very talented.
I am still hopeful you will once again host Finding Beauty.
