It’s HOT

Filed Under summer | 19 comments

I might just break out my own person water pistol if one more person asks… “is it HOT enough for you?”

A good pioneer woman I would NOT have made.

The trail would’ve killed me OR my trail-mates would’ve shot me because of all the whining I would’ve been doing.

I am a lover of Air-Conditioning. *blowing kisses* to the inventor of such a wonderful life saver.

In the spirit of keeping cool… I am staying inside and playing with some shots of Summer.

This one is straight out of the camera…(SOC)… from the ants point of view.

Simply just Black and White

This one is a setting called Vibrance

Holga-ish is a fun one!

Orton-ish is one of my all time favorites — I use it a lot (but I tone it down a bunch)

Which one do you like?

I work near this wonderful play land — I stop by and let the breeze blow some spay my way… ahhhh

A little more water pleeez!

All- right-y then! No wonder this is called Cowabunga!! 🙂

  2. Hi Claudia!

I agree with kissing air conditioning inventor! Tonight we have a lovely light rain happening (I even did another post reagarding it tonight LOL) and it is bringing in this fabulous coolness. And now, I am heading outside to enjoy a cup of coffee, listen to the light rain and just relax!

I love when it is in the 70’s…never over about 82.  Today in Iowa??  90s with a heat index of over 103.   Our walk at 9:00 pm , it was 99 heat index!     That water park looks awesome —-   I wish!   thanks for the cool down…   needing a nice big sweet iced tea about now…  Hugs!    Deb

Just found your lovely blog came by the way of the sweet trio– the 3 sisters and their lovely blog.
I am glad it is not hot here in Oregon,  nice  70s low 80’s and cool in the evenings, but we do get lots of rainy gray skies.

  7. Hi Claudia
I think I like ‘Vibrance’ the best for your shot of the daisies.
Oh, to be young again and get into the spirit of that water park!  It’s refreshing just to see the brave ones with their spray.
    Have a great weekend.

How refreshing!  Claudia – I’m with you – I really hate the heat and do nothing but whine if I’m out in it!  Let’s get a cabin in the mountains…by a lake…where it’s 70 degrees!  I’ll meet you there. Okay? And bring a sweater!  xoxo Nancy

  9. Dear Claudia,
We are s much alike. When all my friends eagerly head south or to warm islands for vacations, I much prefer the north. I don’t know what I’d be like if I didn’t live near my ocean.
As always, your photography is beauty I find each week. I especially like the contrast in the black and white.
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.

That park looks great! We’d love one of those around here!

  17. Porch Days says:

Deadly hot here too. How did I survive growing up in South Georgia with no A/C? Couldn’t go back to that kind of living. My son chooses not to repair the A/C in his old, high mileage car. Had to drive it recently and thought I would die! The hot air coming in the windows made it hard to breathe!

“Flip me over, I’m done on that side” heat wave here continues to throttle us. Today is the all time record highs, unusual … 105.  Pretty daisies, they always brighten the day.

Have a lovely PINK weekend ~

    Good Morning Claudia Sweetie…
Oh my goodness girl, I love this share. It is just to much. I would be standing at that park, during lunch. I could feel the spray as I watched with anticipation for the BIG drop from above. How fun that looks. If we were but young again?

I had my dr. appointment yesterday morning (thus I did not get my post up for FFB) Sorry sweetie. I did not have a good visit. He said 2 more weeks of no talking at work, and not to talk any more than necessary here at home. I am still going to have to keep taking the steroids, which I so want to get rid of.  I do not like them at all. I have found places that ache, that I didn’t even know existed being on this stuff. It is bad for the body. I am still so hoarse, and the drs. have told me there is a possibility that I will not get my voice back. What I have now, may be as good as it gets. They keep telling me time. It has been 3 months, how much time I ask? Sadly they do not know. My lungs are just very weak.

We will have to take that call soon. I have so wanted to visit with you. Hope you are having a beautiful day sweet friend. Many hugs to you and so much love, Sherry
