Welcome to Friday~~ Finding Beauty
This is a weekly get together where we celebrate the beauty we see around us and within ourselves.
This week– thanks BIG TIME – to Beverly from How Sweet the Sound– She has so graciously featured me for Pink Saturday–
Welcome to all the PINK visitors — please link with us below as you all certainly hit the requirements of finding beauty and Pinks!
This week in downtown SLC they blocked off the streets so that local artists could show off their talent. Luckily it didn’t rain and these fun presentations could last through the weekend. Music selection: Peter Pan’s Flight.
The focus was intent. The air was quiet and warm. You could almost hear the buzzing of creativity yet very few spoke.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson

Hello Claudia
I finally remember to link to your Finding Beauty and I don’t have a speck of pink! Oh well, I usually post a few hours before you and had no idea you were linking with Beverly too.
Hi Claudia, we also had the Chalk Festival here this weekend in Pasadena. Aren’t they such talented artists? I was so impressed!
Do you know that I saw the Broadway Show “PETER PAN” with Sandy Duncan in N.Y.?? That was a very long time ago. Peter pan is still my favourite.
Happy Finding Beauty. LOVE your PINK hat box, if that’s what it is. Now I know that you LOVE bunnies : )
Happy PS too girlfriend.
Love Claudie
oxoxo
P.S. I’ve been here so long that the bees and the birds are tweeting, and the dogs are wondering where on earth this is coming from….too funny.
xo
Bunnies, and PINK, and Peter Pan — fantastic!
Beautiful post, beautiful blog as well. Have a wonderful PINK weekend!

Hi Claudia!
Oh your pinks are so pretty! And that sidewalk art looks amazing! that would have been a fun day checking out all the creativity!
Not always a fan of music on a site – as I usually have my own on while blogging – but this morning I love the disney music clip! Pictures are great – so neat to see so many talented folks with such a wide range of abilities!
Last day in my classroom today! One more day on Monday to work on a guitar curriculum for next year – and then 2 months of summer ( and catching up on my blog friends).
Claudia, you created such a pretty vignette photo with the pink dishes, French clock, white hydrangea and sweet Peter Rabbit! Beautiful!
Kindly, ldh
Always fun to see the talented chalk artists and stopping by your blog!
Hi, Claudia!

I’m getting a jump start on Pink Saturday so I’m glad you are posted with both today and tomorrow’s posts!
Love your pinks, and I also love Disney. I’m a huge Disney fan as a matter of fact. And Peter Pan is a favorite, too. I love the movie “Hook” with Robin William’s. That is one of the best remakes of Peter Pan I’ve ever seen. It’s witty and charming and well cast. Plus the sets are great.
Happy Beauty Friday and Pink Saturday, too…
XO,
Sheila

Claudia, I LOVE this. And as always I love your blog, everything about it, from your header to what you chose to post. Your are so talented and so sorry about the computer hiccups, I’ve been having it also, and it’s so frustrating, isn’t it? But it didn’t interfer with your creativity.
Love your pink pink pink vignette! It’s just calming to look at it! Have a wonderful weekend, Claudia. xoxo Nancy
No pink from me. I prefer my pink to be apricot.

Hi Claudia,
Happy PiNk to you..
Lovely pinks this week.
I love how the artist can express
themselves right on the pavement.
Also wanted to say that I love Marianne
Williamson. Very wise words.
I just linked to your Finding Beauty!
Have a wonderful day,
Stephanie ♥
PS: that follower thingy disappears at
my blog from time to time…just a gremlin
I guess.
Hi Claudia Sweetie…
Happy Pink Saturday and what a beautiful share you have today. I love
sidewalk drawings and I bet these were so wonderful to see in person. To
actually sit and watch the artist create. I am afraid I would have to bring a
small stool to just sit and watch. I would be so fascinated.
You captured such beauty as always. I promise to get back to Finding Beauty
next week. I am trying slowly to get back on my feet. I go back to the doc on July 9th
and he will make a decision as to whether or not I can start going outside again. I am still
shut in. It drives me bonkers, but I am doing as I am told. I do not want to go back to the
hospital for another 8 days. One time is enough in my lifetime. I am going to see an Ear, Nose
and Throat Specialist on July 2nd. They are going to go down my throat and look around at
my larynx. I am still very hoarse and not much comes out. They are thinking it is from the excessive coughing but want to make sure nothing else is going on. I dread this test most of
all. I do not think it will be a fun experience. I will keep you posted. You have my number sweetie. You can call me, just be prepared to listen closely when I talk. Sometimes it is very
hard to understand what I am saying. Tony (DH) and I are quite the pair. He can’t hear and I
can’t talk. Maybe it is time we learned to sign? Ha! Ha! Ha!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend. I do so think of you each and every day. I spend a lot of
time with my dear sweet Bunnie. She has become a smile for me each day while being locked
inside of the house. Country hugs sweetie and so much love, Sherry
Happy Pink Saturday, Claudia. I hope you are enjoying being a featured blog today.
I really enjoyed this post. What an awesome event this is. I’d love to be able to watch each artist.
I love being your featured sister today. I also think the chalk artwork is fabulous. What a fun post today. Happy Pink Saturday girlfriend, Char
Happy Pink Saturday!!!

“Do these shoes match this purse?”
What amazing artists to be able to create these beautiful drawings. Just like these beautiful pieces of art that could vanish if it rained, beauty is so fleeting we have to memorize it quickly before it vanishes. Magical really. I always think of the scene in Peter Pan where he asks Wendy to sew on his shadow. When we take time to memorize the beauty we are sewing it’s magic into our hearts.
Thank you for the inspiration Claudia.
Karen
Ohhhh, how i would love to watch the artist and admire. You see,I’ve always wanted to paint…,nothing grand..just some smaller tole things..alas.there are no classes around here… so I practice and play on my own. And.. I have such fun with it,but oooo, how I admire artists.
Congratulations on being featured today Claudia,,,, Wishing you always Happy Pinks..
