Refreshing summer

According to the calendar it is officially summer.

Last night the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. No wind mid 80’s … ahhh.

After my photography class at the U of U (now now BYU fans dont get cranky) I stopped down town where we have a fabulous shopping center and some wonderful eateries.

The in ground fountain is so fun to watch, as families with children run a muck trying to guess when the fountain will spurt water next.

Last night the lighting was perfect — everything stopped and children waited… I love how this photo almost seems like a painting I have seen of Parisian streets.

I’m sharing a couple of photos that were taken this week.  Near a pond these fun “pink” ferns bordered the walking path.

Near my work is a wonderful huge water park.  The kid in me really thinks this would be a blast.  The scared of heights me says — um No thanks!

Assignment: capture action.

What crazier place is there to stop action than the local skate board park?  These boys know no fear and when they saw me with my camera couldn’t wait to put on a show.

The only thing I kept hearing myself say … “where is your helmet???”

I could only stand to watch for 5 minutes or so.  They were crashing all over the place and I couldn’t watch.  (crazy boys!)

His name was Mike and he thought he was pretty cute.  (he was right)

The snow is retreating leaving in its place a beautiful lushness of green.

Stop by Beverly’s this week (friday) and Mary’s on Monday.

Enjoy the beauty around you.

Beautiful picture of Gateway! I love the reflections on the stones. The skate-boarder pic is awesome, as well. And I love the beautiful mountain. You’re doing some extraordinary work, my girl! I hope some of mine turn out as well.

Hi, Lady…I’ve not been over in awhile..Blogland is sooo huge that I tend to get lost and lose contact with some of my blogging friends.
These photos are wonderful..especially love that first one.
One of my grandsons is a skate boarder and I’ve taken him to many many parks such as this. :)))

  5. Happy Pink Saturday Claudia Sweetie…
Oh what a beautiful share today. You always take me along to such magical places. Love seeing the water park, but I am to old for heights, I leave that to the kiddos now. Does look cooling though after the 115 degree temps we have had here in the desert the last couple of days.

Love the little face of Mike, you always meet the most darling little critters. Is his face not LOVE? Love those cow eyes he has. So dramatic.

The reflection in the sidewalk at the mall area, from the fountain is my favorite though. I love seeing the reflection on the pavers from the wet concrete. So beautiful and magical all at the same time. Thank you for sharing your eye through that lens in your camera. It always delights me sweet one.

Hope you are well. I have had several dental appointments, another one today and so I have been a little under the weather, and not up to much blogging. I am giving it a shot tonight, may not be feeling to well tomorrow. The second day is always the hardest for me.

Hugs, hugs, and even more hugs to you sweet one. All my love, Sherry

  6. Great photographs – especially that first one, so atmospheric! I’d hang that one on my wall.

Happy Pink Saturday and a hug from the UK!
