Look back

It’s almost been a year since we lost Sharon.

She was a wonderful mother, daughter, wife, friend and fabulous sister.

Words can not express the loss I feel on a daily basis.  And I can only imagine how her kids and husband and mother and friends all feel. The loss is palatable.

I hear her in my head and my heart. She was always my biggest cheerleader and she would not want us to not move forward and work at making our dreams come true. So I listen to her.

Just the other evening I attended a meeting where we got to see our top 10 favorite photos projected on a wall. My guess is that they were approximately 15 x 25′ tall.  It took my breath away to see my work that large. It was fun!

So, in not any particular order… my favorite of the year 2011

Dear Dear Friend

Looking back is not something I do too often… but it’s been a hard year but I know I am moving in the right direction and I will continue to find the beauty in life and keep listening to my sister.

beautiful photos…each and every one. Gotta love the one of our dear Claudie eh.
Your sister was truly beautiful. Look at that smile of hers.
You know I believe she is “aware of your goings on” and is cheering you on along the way even still.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your sister. I didn’t know you had withstood that. But your beautiful spirit shines through in these very professional, and artful photographs. I’m thinking that your sister would be so proud, as are your prompt addict “sisters.” Congratulations!

Claudia, I was just talking to Jody Schofield last week and we were saying that is has been a year since Sharon passed. She was a beauty and such a nice, sweet person. I am sure she looks down on you with smiles and love every day.
Your photography is amazing. What a great artistic outlet it must be for you. Do you have a studio? Hugs!!

Oh Claudia, has it been a year already?? I’m so so sorry that you don’t have your sister here to cheer you on any longer. Like Wendy said, she’s “aware of your goings on”. They all are. You’ll be ok. I know it’s not the “best” time of your life, but it’s all about the road right???
Stay positive my friend. I know you are trying your best. I just wish we lived closer, I really do, cuz sometimes we just “need” a really good friend to cry with.
Oh and BTW… really I’m in your line up?? I’m honoured.
Still waiting for a few more of those, lol.
    Love you
    Love me

Hello Claudia, I love your top 10 so much. Your dear sister was beautiful. Having sisters I love, I can so imagine the sadness it has caused you.

I love Laddy, the snow, the dreamy cottage and darn, they are all awesome. I do love the last photo as you might guess. Beautiful Claudie captured so well.

I am glad the holidays are over in one sense, I have missed visiting you. I hope you are happy my dear sista friend. The memories of our time together in October are so dear to me. I pray your life is going in the direction that gives you confidence and success. I am one of your biggest fans. I know you can be what you want to be Claudia. You are an amazing photographer and a caring friend.

    Love you much,

Claudia.. Sharon had such amazing talent.. and I see that you do too! My heart has been so full of pain this year and I miss Sharon so much! The 15 years I knew Sharon were so much better because I had such an amazing friend. She adored you, and I know she would be so proud of your photography. Keep using the gifts God gave you and thank you for sharing your gifts.

  9. Hello,
I visited your blog today. Your photos are so lovely. While I was scrolling down, I noticed my sweet friend, Claudie on here. She is such a delightful lady. Me and my daughters also love Photography. We started a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back to visit with you. Your blog is sweet and simple, two things which I appreciate, and I love looking at your beautiful photos. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

  11. Dear Claudia,

Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of the death of my nephew. I thought of you and your sister. I can hardly think of Joseph without my eyes filing with tears and my throat getting a lump in it. I can still hear his voice and ‘see’ him.
Your photographs are more than beautiful images captured; you are an artist and your medium is the camera.

  14. Ah, Claudia, I had honestly forgotten about your sister’s passing on this day. I cannot imagine losing someone as close as a sister. Your heart must break everytime she enters your memory. If she was your biggest cheerleader she would be cheering you on in your quests and be so proud of your accomplishments. God bless..

Love your choices for your favs of the year. Beautiful images, each and everyone.
    Hugs to you my friend

  15. Oh Claudia,
Your sister is beautiful. And now she walks in heaven sending you blessings all the time. I can imagine your pain, we expect to lose our parents, but never our siblings. You are an amazing woman, and I love all the things that you are doing, you make her proud.

I love your photographs, OMG. I only wish I could go on a photoshoot together. Wouldn’t that be fun? Have a wonderful weekend.
