After Winter’s cold and frost, we look forward to Spring with each little bud that raises it’s head; bringing new hope as all Springs do. I have always thought that Spring and Fall were my favorite seasons; but this year’s Summer, because of a very very rainy Spring, was particularly green and abundant with fantastic color blasts. I love living so close to the pulse of the seasons.
Mother Nature delights us with each flower that grows to it’s fullest potential. Spring metamorphosis‘ into Summer with excitement. (join others at Susan’s Metamorphosis Monday)

Here is a little Metamorphosis example- SOOC (straight out of camera)

With a little help from Picnik - Add some “Boost” and Vignette” (little darker edges) — don’t forget to SAVE AS.
In my creative dreams, this is how I would like to water color.

Summer time helps bring out our Funky sides — don’t you think? I’m LOVIN these pots!

As I took a drive late one over cast evening… I came upon this bounty of daisies! I often perform dangerous dashings from my car just to get a shot. One of these days someone is going to run me over; but I could not pass this by with out capturing this lovingly tended yard. Yes, some times I am a fool for beauty.

Do you supose the owner of this tire swing would mind if I took it for a Summer evening ride?
I can imagine that perhaps an 8 year old little darling could probably kick my butt if i tried.

Susan at Southern Daydreamer is throwing her usual Out Door Wednesday party; come see who is showing up.
Waving goodbye to sweet HOT August 2009!! Even though the days are long, some how Summer is too short.

Yes, summer is always just a bit on the warm side here in sunny Florida (LOL), but it’s still my favorite time of year and I’m soooooo sad it’s almost over.
What fantastic photos, you are amazing! It is like candy.

What gorgeous photos. I have always been a fan of Black-eye Susan’s and have them in my garden. Each time I drive up, a flurry of yellow finches fly out. They love the seeds!

Have you gone pro yet, your pictures are just amazing always!
Stunning, gorgeous pics! Thanks so much for risking life and limb for your fans!
Beautiful!

Oh what a lovely farewell summer post. Your comment regarding the dangerous dashings from your car totally cracked me up. One day when I was out doing a similar stunt, I had a man holler out “are you with the secret service”? I just rolled up my window, ignored him and drove on my merry way.
Thanks again for taking the time to capture the beauty, loved it.
Blessings – Debbie

Hi Claudia, thanks for leaving me a comment. Love what you did with the flowers. We don’t see many around here this time of year what with the heat and the water restrictions. Right now we can’t water at all with our irrigation, we have one day a week we are permitted to water beds etc and that is with a hand held hose!
Honestly, I’m not sad to see summer go this year.
Claudia, thanks for visiting my blog today. I’ve enjoyed your beautiful photography when I’ve visited you earlier. Today I especially like your post about the monk… what a lovely man. I loved his comments.
Beautiful gardens and photographs! Whenever I have a camera in hand, I can’t stop taking pictures either. I’m so glad for the ease and savings with digitals these days
Yes, this sure has been a green Summer, with all the rain. The grass is usually burnt to a crisp by now, but everything looks so happy. I’ve never seen so much rain.
Enjoy the next beautiful season! photographing to your heart’s content.
Hi, Claudia!!! Wow, love those pics!!! I’m so sad summer is coming to an end. I tend to hold on to the season’s that’s out the door as opposed to embracing the one that’s coming:) Thanks for your sweet comments today on the guest room!!!
Your photos are stunninglybeautiful. It’s hard to think we now are moving from the light colors of summer to the more intense hues of fall. I hope you are having a wonderful day.
Claudia,
I love, love, love your photos! I will most definately be coming back! Hugs from Conroe, TX!
p.s. thanks for stopping by my blog and for your kind words.
Wow! That is a beautiful post! That little red house with the hill of daisies is to die for! Be careful out there! But, get the shots!

Claudia, color blast indeed! This is magnificent! I’m definitely ready to say good-bye to summer 09. The triple digit heat here in TX has been the worst! Thanks for stopping by to visit me. I appreciated your comments. ~ Sarah
Hi Claudia,
Your pictures are exceptional. How does one get to Picnik. I have so much to learn about taking pictures. I can’t tell you enough how much I enjoyed these… as I scrolled down I kept saying wow…wow
Happy Outdoor Wednesday and enjoy your day.
Maryrose
The colorful flowers in you photos are amazing, thanks for sharing.
One word…….STUNNING!!
What beautiful mounds of color!
Claudia, these pictures are amazing! Don’t laugh, but as I looked at #s 1, 4 and 5, all I could think of is what gorgeous jigsaw puzzles they would make. I would so enjoy putting together the one with the pots first and the daisies would be a real challenge, but fun!
Hello Claudia! I’m just mesmerized by your photos. Such lovely shots…all of them. The colors are so vibrant and real. I feel like I can reach out and touch those flowers.
Gorgeous pictures! that is a very impressive planting of Black Eyed Susans in that yard – lovely! Mine are just beginning to get a little less enthusiastic as fall approaches.
I used to love Fall the best, but the older I get, the more I love summer!
Cass
