By invitation I took a drive up our Big Cottonwood Canyon and walked Silver Lake. It was such a lovely day– hardly a breath of a breeze.
As you can see there is hardly any rippling of the water.

There’s a wonderful trail that walks you around so as to not bother Mother Natures’ Beauty by walking on her Wet Lands.

My dashingly handsome great nephew was taken by the “junk on the bottom of the lake” …. look at his to die for eyelashes. (whats with little boys getting those things when girls would kill for them?)

It was a lovely walk that I certainly intend on taking again!
Stop by sweet Southern Daydreamer and see how others are enjoying their Outdoor Wednesday. Also, remember to visit Melissa at The Inspired Room and Julia at Hooked on houses.

Claudia,
Those photos are breathtaking!
What a lovely place to spend some time.
I agree, the eyelashes on that young man are great. I used to babysit a boy with the best lashes. Funny, I never forgot that.
Thanks for your very kind comment on my post today.

What a magnificent lake, and your photography is stunning. We are surrounded by many lakes and when I drive through New Hampshire to Vermont to see my mom, there are other beautiful settings. Just looking at a lake is like taking a vacation. We live in such a beautiful country.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday,
Karen
Claudia, you are amazing, the lake picture is awesome. . .And the eyelashes well thats another story all together!

The lake is beautiful, but even more gorgeous are those lashes!
Breathtaking view, Claudia! Your nephew is a handsome fella and yes, I would love to have those eyelashes!…Christine
Hi Claudia!
What a beautiful vista and lush lake walk…just beautiful! Your nephew is a adorable!
Happy Outdoor Wednesday –thanks for visiting me!
I Love the scenes. Great and Beautiful shots!
You know, I guess I didn’t realize you were in Utah until you said “Big Cottonwood Canyon” and gears kicked in. Then I scrolled down and saw the bridge at La Caille! We’ve lived there twice – once for school (in Provo) and then again for three years between 2000-2003 (in Draper). I never knew that pretty lake was up Big Cottonwood Canyon. Beautiful photos! Oh, and I can think of another dog song for you – “The Puppy Song” by Harry Nilsson!

This is what I called a true-blue retreat area, Lady? I would love and die for it coming here. Jst looking @ the water makes me breath so calmly.

Those are beautiful pictures. I would love to take that walk myself.
I would be happy with those eyelashes myself. He is a darling!
Not only do the boys usually get the eyelashes but they also often get the naturally curly hair.
This spot looks like a wildlife refuge that teems with life.
Much nicer than the muck I posted about. Thanks for stopping by. Serendipity is my theme on my guest book. It is a wonderful thing.
Claudia,
I love Silver Lake and will be soon taking that walk next month along with about 25 YSA’s. Your pictures are so beautiful and you really do have a knack of capturing the beauty around you. Including those gorgeous eyelashes!
