Can you tell the storm came in from the North?
These are the kind of storms that some states would take “Snow Days”
But not here in Utah– we love it (okokok we still can’t drive in it) be most everyone owns a shovel and certainly a pair of gloves.
Salt Lake City, as many of you may know from the Winter Olympics that were held here, mainly resides in a valley. East and West sides BIGGG ol Mountains. When the wind doesn’t blow and a snow storm stays for a bit our Valley fills with a fog like situation– Weather people call it our INVERSION. People cuss it because not only is it foggy and dreary but also mixed with all the emissions from cars and chimneys.

It still, for me, provides with some great shots if I can get out and find such wonders.

Still I listen to everyone complaining about the dreaded INVERSION –
Enough everyone!!!

Because invariably the winds blow — the snow storm end– and the FANTASTIC blue sky peak out once again!

Have a wonderful Wednesday– See you Friday–Finding Beauty!

Since January 1st 2010 -- I have been celebrating finding Beauty in our every day lives. Stay in the Day... be in the moment. Don't wait to live your life.
Stop and make a habit to find the Beauty and you will be amazed at how Beautiful your life is. Be thankful and remember:
"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." Dyer

However often we see snow shots they’re still beautiful.
Claudia, lovely wintry scenes. Utah is a beautiful state. Your last shot is just awesome with the cloud over the mountain.
Wow a gorgeous winter.
Congrats Claudia on the new Theme.
That last photo is just too beautiful for words!!!
My Wednesday post & sketch can be found <a href=”http://hootin–anni.blogspot.com/2010/01/i-simply-named-her-verti e.html”>HERE</a>. I invite you to stop by for a visit if you can find time in your busy day.
What gorgeous photos!
I have to admit, I far prefer seeing the snow in your lovely photos than in front of my car.
Winter is, by far, my favorite. Possibly because we have fairly mild winters. Not much snow at all.
Summer is 2nd…not liking spring or fall that much.
Great photos..
That first shot took my breath away, Claudia! That soft pink sky is soooooo beautiful!
A lot of people complain about Winter here, and I wonder what they are doing living in Colorado. ??? I love it. We get 7 months of snowy weather where we are, and to me, it’s heaven!
Have a very Happy Wednesday!

I thought that first photo was striking, but my favorite is the second one with the tree and road. There is something about it…..it almost looks like a painting. Gorgeous as usual! Have a wonderful Wednesday! Denise
Those are gorgeous Claudia.
Hi Claudia

Hope to join you this Friday…congrats on your 100+ post!

Claudia, these are gorgeous photos. I love the tree lined road. That looks like a professional’s work. Kudos. Have a great Outdoor Wednesday.
Totally amazing photos, Claudia. Thank you for sharing these!
Beautiful capture – such wonderful between white and black. Very sharp – almost three dimensional

Claudia, these are such beautiful photos!!! Amazingly so!
Stunning photos, Claudia! The one of the street and the trees just takes my breath away. How wonderful to live in beauty like that…(even if you do have to shovel it!LOL)
Stay warm. xoxo Nancy
Wow … I knew I loved Utah, and I knew it was beautiful, but those shots are just stunning! As a tourist (from England) I’ve only ever seen it in sunshine, of course. We usually travel in spring or autumn, when the desert states are pretty much perfect weather for us, but I can see we miss a whole lot by not doing winter!
Looks incredibly cold though. BRR!
These pictures are gorgeous! Absolutely stunning!!
