Getting settled into my new home has kept me very busy… (I will be posting before and afters soon) but in the mean time Mother Nature has had us all freezing our hinnies off.

I find myself whispering- hearing the quiet- a far off goose or perhaps a passing train. I shoot shots like this to remind myself years down the road, when we are complaining that it’s been forever since we had a snowy winter– that back in the winter of 09 -10 the country, collectively experienced Cold. It will be another one of those things we all have in common. (okokok…Sept you southern coastal peps!

Shhhh! listen — there isn’t anything like this time of year. I might be crazy, but I am really enjoying the contrast. It’s a time where our lives slow down, we spend more time in our homes, enjoying one another’s company and perhaps cuddling up with a good book. It’s a time to watch what is going on around us with more detailed purpose.
Please stop by Susan’s –A Southern Daydreamer and the others over at Outdoor Wednesday. My guess is that I am not the only one sharing winter wonderland photos.
REMEMBER— This Friday will be my 100th post with a Give away– Also our Friday- Finding Beauty.
I would really enjoy you all sharing what you think is beautiful in your life.

Enjoy your Out Door Wednesday! Have the best week!

Since January 1st 2010 -- I have been celebrating finding Beauty in our every day lives. Stay in the Day... be in the moment. Don't wait to live your life.
Stop and make a habit to find the Beauty and you will be amazed at how Beautiful your life is. Be thankful and remember:

These are some of the most AMAZING outdoor photos I’ve ever seen!
It certainly looks terribly cold and I can almost hear the silence!
Beautiful pictures Claudia! You’re a very talented photographer! I really love the snow yet we have had so little of it. We have the Winter Olympics coming to Vancouver in exactly 30 days and it is so warm all the ski hills are closed. I think Florida should have maybe had the games! LOL! Happy OW Sherri : )
i love the artistic quality in these simple photos of your world
These photos are gorgeous Claudia! Great job of capturing the stillness of a winter evening. These are really outstanding.
these are spectacular photos! the second photo reminds me of a scene from a movie. so evocative.
Stunning photos of your wintery world!
I have to tell you though that we have not had it easy on the Southern Coast. Forget my OW post, you need to read my post from yesterday. Sad, just incredibly sad. My lush, tropical garden is in ruins, but that’s not the worst we have experienced here in Florida.
Okay, I admit it, I was bad last week. I missed your Help Me Rhonda post. You know I tried adding your button on Friday and told you the code wasn’t working. Tried it again today and it still isn’t working. BUT, I know the problem. Seems you either moved or deleted the image in Photobucket, so the image source code is no longer available. Once you get the new code, just swap it out and it should work perfectly. Let me know if you still need help with this. I want to add your button to my sidebar!
I suppose the silence is because every living thing is focused on staying warm!
Yes, the winter is a good time to slow down.
I don’t mind the cold..it is the snow and ice. Makes life difficult for so many folks.
A sunny cold day is fine with me..that’s why they make hats, coats, gloves, etc..
Lovely pictures…
Oh my! What amazingly gorgeous shots!
m ^..^
Your photos are beautiful…..I feel like I always say that to you. They really are gorgeous! I couldn’t pick a favorite, I liked them all. I need to take photography lesson from you

I really like how the mood in the images carry me to the next image. It is time to settle down and just enjoy the moment.

Lovely photos of the cold landscape.
Absolutely lovely post – thank you!!
Hi Claudia, Came to visit you from LindaLu’s Blog – glad I did. I was intrigued by the name of your blog. Now I’m mesmerized by your photos! I love the blue-light one. The frost on the leaves in a previous post is magnificent.
