October Beauty

Along the lines of celebrating beauty

Today’s Oprah’s show celebrated the non-perfect.

Actress’ that felt trapped in looking the perfect way the industry portrays them.

That would be a difficult job– maintaining the facade.

While we may not see the same “beauty” we once did when we glanced in the mirror… our beauty will linger on … if we are MORE beautiful inside.

This sunflower would not fall under the category of a PERFECT sunflower…

However, I think this half opened/ closed  flower is stunning!

About this time last year I posted a blog about celebrating the “scratched and dented”

I love celebrating the beauty around us that really isn’t so perfect.

We all have made mistakes. (I personally have made more than my share.)

But with age true wisdom is born.

A time when we can look back at each bump in the road, hopefully forgive ourselves and move on to being the better person we want to become.

Mother nature always gives us those strong flowers that will not give up their glory just because the weather decides they must transform.

Sunflowers, this time of year, are such fantastic flowers!

Don’t we all wish we looked THIS good from behind!

What’s beautiful in your world today?

You know the drill 🙂

Don’t forget to link back to US from your blog… and of course be sure and mention us in your post.

I loved all your comments on the ghost/ lamb sky view 🙂

Have the best week!  Stop a moment in your life and see that Beauty that was always there…

Absolutely beautiful. Yes, there is beauty in every single thing around us, if we just look.
Thanks for hosting this lovely meme…

I think most if not all sunflowers are perfectly beautiful.

Beauty is everywhere, we all just need to look at things from a different perspective. Perfection comes from imperpection.

Thank you Claudia for inspiring people to really find beauty.

I couldn’t for the life of me put my own thumbnail up there. So frustrating. So I put up striped pink wallpaper!!!
I HAVE to plant some sunflower seeds next spring. Can you remind me? I always forget, thanks lol.
I never watch T.V., but I was at my sisters and she had OPRAH on. I felt so bad for Sybil Shepherd and the lovely Linda Evans. It must be soooooo hard to let beauty go with age. I know I feel it. Not that I felt I was a beauty, believe me. I can’t even imagine what they are going through. You never know what you had till it’s gone, either looks, a good man, a good friend, you get the picture.
You captured the perfect Sunflower according to me. I LOVE YOUR PICS. You found beauty once again.
    Love you girlfriend.

    G’morn Claudia ~
I find there is no such thing as imperfection in  anything … just beauty in its own special way(s).  Our birds plant our sunflowers for us … I call the sunflowers our ‘ladies in waiting’ as they lift their heads to the heavens.
Your pictures are once again, awesome.

We finally finished both house constructions & took off for 2 weeks. I apologize not having been with you lately, but will be better now.

    Good Morning Claudia Sweetie…
Oh how I love this woman behind the lens of this camera.
You are so darn talented sweetie. I wish I could get in
the car and drive with you or walk with you when you
take this phenomenal photos. You are so darn good.

Sunflowers always take me home.  This is the time of
the year that the fields are so full of them. I can see
    them blowing in the breeze.
Thank you for sharing with me today. I so love it
when you do. Many hugs and SO much love, Sherry

Hi Claudia, I believe nothing is perfect, no matter how it seems or looks. It’s all a trap and in the eyes of the beholder.  I have driven thru the beautiful state of Kansas when the sunflower fields were blooming and the view will take your breath away. Happy Pink Saturday, Char

haha Claudia – yes I do wish I looked that good from behind!  I love the imperfect sunflower.  I missed the Oprah show but just heard recently that plastic surgery isn’t supposed to make you look younger – only better at your current age!  Love your photos today – sooo beautiful. xoxo Nancy (late again!)

  11. Sue says:

Oh how very pretty….  There is beauty in everything, whether perfect or not.  Often, it is the little imperfections that make things even better…
    hugs, Sue
