Beauty Bubbles ~~Welcome to Friday~~Finding Beauty~~

Designing a new Bathroom is one of my favorites! Easy to change with the seasons, I find it one of the more creative rooms– meaning, when you wash your face every day you don’t have to think about it– thus we have time to “think” on other things and let your mind wander.

Purple Bath

My newest BATH–

Some of you might recognize the Art on the wall from some of my postings.

~~Who wouldn’t enjoy a day at the spa? Total pampering, body being soothed and showered–ahhhh.

Especially in today’s financial stress, not many of us can afford that extravagance; but we could create our own GET AWAY –focusing on our Bathroom and our daily rituals.

~~Creating a Beautiful Bath Ritual~~

Rituals are mysterious and satisfying and very personal.

Prepare the right elements– to create the right ambiance.

With a focus on our senses, our daily Rituals can help us be kinder to ourselves and become the better us we want to become.

Sight– flowers or Art
Hearing– Music
Touch– soft or rough scrubs
Smell– scented oils and candles
Taste — who wouldn’t love a cool glass of lemon water

Most of the time, I am a shower girl… but when I need to distress and calm from a stormy day I fill the bath.

Did you know that one of the earliest successful treatments for mental illness was a variety in water and bathing treatments?

French again RS

Again — I refurbished my Paris Bathroom — I haven’t tired of the Paris Or Black and White theme

Towels RS

7 ways to enhance our Bath time Ritual

Organized- keep beauty products in small drawers or boxes – keeping clutter to a minimum
Music — quiet music enhances a soothing bath, or can energize you as you start your day
Candles– or soft lamp light– Dim the lights and light the candles for a soft romantic visual
Pictures — have a beautiful picture you can look at while you lounge in your bubble bath
Basket of scrubs and sponges– to the side of you tub
Towels– your body will appreciate thirsty towels
Thick Terry Cloth Robe– Put this on while your body is still damp- it’s better for you skin and helps to create a beautiful bath ritual.

White Bath RS

Even our Model Homes invite us in to relax and help us rejuvenate.

Have a Beautiful week– Stop by Melissa at the Inspired Room, Beverly’s Pink Saturday and Mary at Mosaic Monday.

Ahh…Calgon take me away! I really can use a nice soak these days :0)
    Beautiful peaceful bathrooms!

  2. Kathy says:

Great suggestions for making our homes more spa like, I especially like using some of these for the guest bath. I have to be a shower gal, leave the house at 6 am so it’s jump in and out. But a nice long soak is a luxury. Thanks for hosting Claudia!

  3. Pam says:

I so agree with you on the home spa….LOVE your purple pictures. There is a lot to be said for creating peace in our homes. Beautiful bathrooms!

  4. Oh, so beautiful Claudia!

I have been working very (and I mean very) slowly to try to add a little more Spa and B & B feel to our bathroom and bedroom. I need to have a place to “escape” to and great a little haven.

  5. Porch Days says:

Your bathroom is lovely. I wish my bath weren’t so small you can put your arms out and nearly touch all four walls!

  6. Elisa says:

WOW, I so love your Paris bathroom. I do miss having a bathtub. Our current 1 small bath only has a stand in shower, the washer and endless stacks and stacks of towels and bottles of detergent. Not exactly a spa but maybe I can get motivated to do some rearranging?

    Saludos

  7. Jay says:

I love that first room! Those tulips are a master touch! So beautiful, up there in their shelf basket!
Our bathrooms are functional. They’re nice, but not artistic or particularly beautiful, but I have to admit, when we’ve stayed in US guest houses and found ourselves using gorgeous bathrooms like yours, it feels good!

  8. Geralyn Gray says:

I love this post…….I have been busier than ever and there is NOTHING more beautiful on your day off from an hour and a half commute to work and ten hour work days than a hot steaming bubble bath in my soaking tub…..I have a green and white ivy themed bath to myself…….and it is the best!!!!!!! I love Crabtree and Evelyn bubble bath with a soap and candle in a matching scent (rose and lily of the valley are my favorites). I love love your Paris theme bath…….it just takes you away……love it!!!!!!!

  9. Claudie says:

Hey girlfriend, is it Friday already? Was at the dentist again all afternoon on Wed. I’m getting there. One more appointment and this girl is DONE.
I’m a shower girl myself, but your purple soaker tub bathroom is so beautiful. I have a purple/mint green/pink one. I also have a claw foot tub, huge, so yes I do like to pretend I’m at the spa. Your Beauty is lovely today Claudia.
Any plans to join us in Fla? Things are coming together….
    Love Ya
    Love Claudie
    xoxo

  10. jeanne says:

Gorgeous and they do look so relaxing. Be hard to get me to leave the bath when it’s so inviting.

  11. Nancy says:

Hi Claudia – Just now getting back in and I missed FFB :( but guess what came in my mail box today??? A little birdie! Oh how I love this tassel – he’s been on everything in my house – I just keep moving him around and no surprise – he looks great on everything! Thank you so much. I’ll be putting pics up next week. I hope you’re doing Pink Saturday tomorrow – I’m linking to your blog. Again, thank you for the wonderful tassel – I love it. xoxo Nancy

  12. Lovely ideas! It’s amazing how a beautiful bathroom can make us feel so pampered.

  13. Ah … lovely post and beautiful reminder ;-)
I used to do this for myself regularly when I worked, but since I’ve retired I haven’t felt the need for such ritualized self-care. Reading your suggestions and looking at your wonderful images reminds me how much I enjoyed it way back when … so methinks I’ll give some thought to reinstating the tradition. Thanks!
    Hugs and blessings,

  14. Rona says:

I so love the 3rd bathroom. I think even my husband and teen would love it.

  15. DeniseMarie says:

    Claudia,
I was scared you wouldn’t think I fit this week so I didn’t force a link. I’ll tuck my anxiety in my back pocket next time and link in. I almost even linked in late. Thanks for the encouragment.

    Loved your post!! DeniseMarie

  16. Carol says:

Gorgeous bathroom! and great ideas for relaxing! I’ll have to take your advice!

  17. Claudia
Loved all the bathroom ideas. We have the smallest bathrooms in our home. The main and ensuite are tiny, no window and a challenge to decorate as the counter tops are small too.

  18. Snap says:

Take me away indeed! Lovely post.

  19. Sherry says:

I love the lavender bath with the grays and blacks. I especially love the lavender heart wreath!!

  20. Gail says:

Lovely bathrooms, lovely. I have not had a bath tub in nearly 5 years, sigh. We have a new bathroom (and tub) in the making, it will be nice to have a beautiful spa bath.

  21. Fifi Flowers says:

LOVELY bathrooms! LOVE the Paris black and white… but of course!!!

  22. Journey says:

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I’m definitely going to look at my bathroom with a fresh (perhaps French) perspective!

  23. Ebie says:

Claudia, I love your artistic touch in your home decors. A very lovely post! The first photo is so romantic!

  24. mary says:

Beautiful, Claudia! I just wish for a bathroom that is bigger than a walk-in closet… lol Thanks for sharing at MM. :)

  25. Karen Cox says:

    Hi Claudia,
I love your lavender bathroom, I hope that soak is of the lavender kind. Now all that you need is a glass of wine and a piece of chocolate lavender cake! Isn’t it amazing what a good soak in the tub can do. Your bathroom is lovely.
    Karen

  26. Connie says:

All of your photos are lovely, sweetpea, and I thought I’d give this a try since the woman having Wordless Wednesday isn’t having it today. DUH on me!!!
I love the purple with the black and white. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it done but it truly is gorgeous. I’m going at this very moment and putting candles on our garden tub in our master bathroom. Beautiful, sweet chick, just beautiful.
    xoxo,
    Connie
