Welcome to Friday~~Finding Beauty!

Also– my 100th post! ( stay tuned for give aways)

Just like the little crusty bulb — not everything that ends up beautiful starts that way. (I was going to give a analogy of how some children aren’t so pretty when they first are born– but, then what mother would ever agree to that statement? :)   Anyway you get my point… That crusty little bulb, surrounded by dirt after being nurtured and watered, sometimes right before you eyes grows into…

Growing RS framed

This glorious flower. My mother has a sweet friend who gave her this for Christmas. She has had such fun watching it grow.

Close amarillish RS

Such beauty– and there are more buds to come! (Thanks Stacy!)

As I said earlier– My 100th post!

Wow… has this flown by. My life has been enhanced so much since I have been purposeful in looking for topics to blog about. Taking that moment in time and capturing it.  It’s been said– “what good is a great photograph, if its not shared?”  Isn’t that the truth? What good does it do to take great shots that sit in your camera — or even in a box sitting on top of a shelf? Share them!

Join with us together as we celebrate various ideas of beauty.

Beautiful…yet again another thing that is part of my normal Dec. celebration leading up to Christmas…I was so absorbed in a project that trees didn’t get fully decorated and I missed out on an amaryllis. They are so fun to watch…they can shoot up so fast.  Congrats on the 100th post….it really is an encouraging world and blogging can spur so much within us.  Thanks for hosting this.

    Hi Claudia
Congratulations on 100 posts.   I like the idea of celebrate beauty and if I have time later on I’ll write a post and link up with you. I was wondering if you use wordpress for your blog.  I am making the switch from blogger to wordpress and could use a little advice.
    Hugs, Rhondi

  16. The beauty is found not only in the bloom, but the thoughtful friendship as well. I love Amaryllis and get excited when mine bloom twice a year — a sure sign of beauty awakened.
Congrats on your 100th post and the direction your blog has taken, you are so inspiring!
I’m all about color, so the Spring tassel is my favorite, plus after the cold snap devastated my tropical garden, I know I’ll need something to brighten up my Spring, lol.
Still couldn’t get your button to work on my blog, don’t know why, so I took a screen shot and made one for my sidebar. It worked!

  17. Connie says:

I’ll be hoppin’ around to all the participants today, but I just need to say that I have an amaryllis that’s doing well this year. I hope I get a bloom as lovely as yours. Love Bunny is pampering it to no end, sugar!!

I love amarylis.  Every Fall I think I’ll buy a $5 bulb for each neighbor as a christmas gift.  I even have quite the collection of found planters to put them in. lol

I love both tassels but have a similar bird tassel so have to go with the Spring colored 1. :)

  38. Yvonne says:

Hi Claudia, Happy 100th Blog. What a great accomplishment! Just think you have 100 items posted and 100 times people can enjoy and learn and discover!
    Thank you so much!

Amarylis are just beautiful, and yours are no exception. I have always wanted to force some for Christmas. And your lesson about ugly things can be beautiful is one to take to heart. I like to think that I get better as I get older, not necessarily on the outside but on the in! And isn’t that where it counts?

I love both tassels, but the little bird one is so precious!
Count me in on the drawing, and thank you!
    Pink Congradulations!
    Yvonne

  39. Charlotte says:

I was so excited to see the picture of you Mom’s amarylis.  My 87 year old mom gave me one just before Christmas and I too have enjoyed watching it grow.  It now is over 2 feet tall and has 6 blooms.  It is just breath taking.  This was my first visit to your blog but will certainly not be my last.  Thank you.

  42. Kifus says:

Hey Claudia. Congratulations on your post 100.  It’s a nice feeling. Don’t count me in on the drawing as I live in Brazil and shipping would be too expensive.
You have a lovely blog. Thanks for stopping by at mine.
    Have a great weekend!

  43. Grace says:

Congratulations on your 100 post! Wonderful blog I love visiting. The flowers are beautiful. Happy Pink Saturday Grace

  44. char says:

Ok, great minds think alike. I have a tassel on my blog today that has a watering can!! What would be the chances of that. It’s too funny, but I love yours too, very different I must say. When I was working as a floral designer, I used to have a boss that said you could put 10 designers in different rooms with all the same florals and each arrangement would be different from the rest, just goes to show you it’s true, happy Pink Saturday, Char
