Welcome to Friday~~Finding Beauty
What is more BEAUTIFUL than Love?

Having a love affair with Valentines Daystarted as far back as 4th Grade as I recall. Ahhh yes… Jeff Simons (Dark hair, Dark eyes… *sigh*)
Decorating the inevitable shoe box was the start of Valentines week— then my teacher made sure that each of us HAD to write a Valentines card to everyone in the class! I love that thought now years older… she taught us that even if we didn’t “really like someone” we still had to enclude them and be NICE. I think everyone should be taught to be nice. Seems the world could use a bit more Nice-ness.
Back to Jeff Simons– he put a card in my decorated box that said “Be My Valentine” then chased me on the play ground and slugged me at the swing set.
( I think it’s weird how kids show their affection isn’t it?)
Presently in love or not– Valentines Day is a reminder of how important LOVE is in our lives.

I LOVE the way brand new little babies feet feel and smell.

This picture in my home is MY reminder of how love should be to me…

Love is everywhere…

Couples are everywhere…

These two are VERY in love…

And I LOVE putting up little Vignettes to celebrate Valentines Day because I don’t have a box to decorate.
But I do encourage you all to take a moment to share the love you have for your friends and family in writing– they are treasure keepers.

When I was VERY young, I loved watching Art Linkletter who had a segment about “kids say the darndest things” … in that spirit here are some of the cutest definitions of LOVE–
From a CHILD’S point of view
~~*I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.
~~*Love is when mommy gives daddy the best piece of chicken.
~~*Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.
~~*When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s love.
Don’t for get to visit Beverly at Pink Saturday

"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." Dyer

I LOVED Art Linkletter too! I LOVE your white feather wreath Claudia. Is that a red tin heart? LOVE IT.
So where is Jeff today? Have you searched for him on FB yet? I bet you did lol
Happy FFB my friend, and Happy Valentine’s Day. I’m going for round 2 on Wed. Putting in the post and taking the impression for the “crown”. Why do I wish it really was a crown. Maybe they should call it a “TIARA” I would like that much better.
Love Claudie

I’ll be back next week Claudia. My week in Washington has gotten away from me. Love your post. I used to love watching this segment on Art Linkletter!!
Good morning and Happy FFB. What a great post. love should be the most important thing in our lives. There are so many types of love and they all make the world a better place to live.
Molly
Art Linkletter’s brother was an interim Pastor at our church…he was even better than his brother….oh man how sweet those boys were. Claudia this is a great compilation of love….
What beautiful pictures you have to go along with the wonderful sentiments. Love to see a happy fellow blogger spreading the cheer. xoxo Lizabeth http://www.sparkbark.com
What a charming story! Are you still friends with Jeff?
I also remember when people were taught to be nice. It’s a terrible shame that now we only teach our children to be on the watch out for ‘bad people.’ Even now I feel somewhat creepy when I smile or wiggly my fingers at babies in the grocery store checker line!
You have such lovely photos – and perfect for Valentine’s Day!
Hi!
I am new to Friday-Finding Beauty. I found your place via Molly at Molly’s Country Memories. I really like your version of love, it is a lot like mine. I loved that Art Linkletter show. Have a great day!

A View of My Life
This is so sweet and pretty. When I get the chance to write something beautiful, I want to be sure and share it on here with you all, Claudia. I like this meme.
Happy Valentine’s Day…
XO,

Hi Claudia,
I am sorry my post is a bit late today. I have been attempting to set up a shop for my sister lynne on etsy. I just added my post. Happy Valentine’s Day. Your photographs and images are just gorgeous. I especially love the heart with the little babies feet. How sweet is that? Wishing you a beautiful day and finding beauty at every turn.

I recently discovered your beautiful blog and have joined in your party. I love the way children see the world — so simply, yet so clearly (as demonstrated in my post).
So many beautiful things … thanks for sharing all the Valentines, love memories and kid’s quotes. I enjoyed Art Linkletter’s show so much. I finally remembered to share some beauty of my own … on time this week
Hugs and blessings,
Well… As I read through your post, I was thinking “I need to get my butt in gear… Valentines day is like SOON!” I know – typical man.
But then I got to the end and the whole thing with the grandpa painting grandma’s toenails… oh man. What are you doing making Remodeling Guy cry!?
I’ve seen relationships like that in my family. Seems like a great place to be.
ps – I really love your blog header!
Hi Claudia – Love that red heart on the door or wall? What a sweet post. Happy Valentines Day
Nancy

I endeavored to foster kindness in my children (and succeeded quite well, I think). Kindness and compassion are such essential personal qualities. Love your photos. Love the sentiments. Thanks for spreading goodness.
Yes, I think a bit of “niceness” would go a long way these days! Thanks for sharing your lovely images at MM Claudia! :)
