With a loud clap of thunder I was aroused from my Sunday afternoon nap. It wasn’t that late and yet it was very dark outside.
I walked on to my patio to see the darkest of skys… With the next boom of thunder, I was out the door to become one with the storm.
What colors do you see? Blue, gray, cream and a touch of coral?
There wasn’t a lot of wind– but I could almost hear the clouds moving as the rumble of the thunder came closer and closer.
Serendipitous capture for certain! Although it looks it– the lightening didn’t strike that particular house. (bet they were happy inside)
I couldn’t resist the song choices to go along with this post– Rider’s On the Storm — by The Doors. (Dang that Jim Morrison was hot!)
And Garth Brook’s — Thunder Rolls. I loved the beginning of both of these songs.
No touch up here… Straight out of the camera.
Have a wonderful week and stop by Mary’s for others showing their Monday Mosaics.

Stunning and a little scary! Amazing pictures!
Don’t you love a good storm? Such energy and excitement!
Breathtaking, once in a life time shots. I guess I am a little weird but there is something about a storm that fascinates me. There is so much beauty there. Albeit a dark beauty, but still they hold me captive.
Thanks for sharing.
Molly
Wow! Fantastic shots!…Christine
What a coincidence! The skies are a fabulous dramatic blue because you took them during the blue hour. I just linked my blue hour post to your party. Your photos are much better than my experimental photos!!!
