Believing that what we “put out there” comes back to us— I am not complaining about the weather anymore. (ok– how about NOT as much? Certainly that has to be an improvement.) Despite how much I complain, Mother Nature has still managed to bring the glorious spring flowers, and to her I am very thank full as I love LOVE lovvve the smell of Lilacs!!
This photo is fast becoming one of my favorites– with the exception of my signature it is SOOC (straight out of the camera) I took this with an 85 mm (not one I typically use) and I am liking the grainy look this came with.
The details of the Lilac up close is amazing isn’t it? Baby flowers….yum!
These beauties all came from a dear friend of mine who has such a fun yard.
Do smelling Lilacs take you back in time?
I don’t recall having bushes around our home when we were small but I love them so much— I recall breaking off some branches and walking home with them from school. Ummmm. What is it about smells that can make us actual time travelers?

Check out this nice video — I am always sad at how fast “woody” flowers fade — this will give you some tips on how to keep them around a bit longer.
Hope you are enjoying the beauty around you.
Hugs!
On Friday I will be joining Beverly at Pink Saturday — check her out.

Oh what a fun day I had!!
A friend of mine is a large animal vet assistant and she showed me around her “nursery”.
This gorgeous fellow was born last night.
Look at his eyes! Oh my he really just stood there and batted his lashes at me!
All the attention was paid to the new babies and their moms– until this handsome gentleman sauntered up — he let me know there were other good looking critters around, that could go anywhere they pleased.
Apparently he doesn’t eat mice — he only eats expensive cat food.
This darling, looks to me like someone got into his mother’s eye make up and drank entirely too much chocolate milk!
Julia!! Thank you so much for the adventure and your hospitality!
Hugs!
Claudia

I am always amazed at the strength of flowers… they will push through the snow or cold. Teaches me perhaps I can weather storms that I hadn’t thought of before.
Indulge me as I experiment with various texture applications on my newest photos.
Tulips are the most wonderful models!
As Spring starts to join us slowly… may your Easter weekend bring forth a wonderful rebirth in many things.
Biggest hugs!
Claudia
PS is a weekend of celebrating Easter and spring — stop by for some lovely sights at Beverlys.
