Morning starts

An early morning in Ashville, North Carolina

If you live within a world of discontentment, you will find it wherever you go.  Only by changing your consciousness will you start to see positive results in your life. –Louise Hay

Reading Louise Hay’s new book, “You can create an exceptional life” I am learning so much about the power we have all been blessed with.

She notes:

How you start your day is how you LIVE your day.

Think about this for a moment.  Too many people start their day with “Oh Sh*t! It’s another day and I’ve got to get up damn it!”  If you have a lousy way of starting your day, you are not going to have a good day ever– it’s not possible. If you do your best to have the morning be awful, your day will be awful.”

I used to be one of those who would push the snooze button while groaning… Ugggh I have to get up.

With some changes in my life lately, I know that if I focus on the negative or worry about what might happen — I will certainly achieve exactly that– the negative.

So, I have started a new ritual daily.  I snuggle into my bed a bit while taking a conscious moment to say my prayers of thankfulness. Thankful that I have a comfortable bed to sleep in and rest and thankful for a new day that is starting.  I remind myself that it will be a wonderful day and I will be surrounded by loving people who will inspire and encourage me.

That simple start to my day has helped me have wonderful mornings then wonderful days.

I am not such a Pollyanna that I think my day will be without hiccups.  However, I am learning that today is a perfect place for me to learn and to grow.  And it all starts with a good morning.

I am finding it a bit challenging trying to muster up the energy to cull through my MANY photos of my recent trip to Ashville.  But the colors of fall inspire me and make me smile.

My dear friend tossed on some Pink so I could participate with Pink Saturday at Beverly’s. She is not only beautiful on the outside but has a fabulous heart as well!

(Thanks Beverly for letting us steal Jeanne– she was the BEST hostess ever!)

Find the beauty that is right in front of you!

Starting the day with a “thank you for my blessings” and “let me be a blessing today” seems to make my days better.
Looking forward to seeing your photos of Asheville … LOVE the one of Ms.Claudie.

Life is much too short not to start your day off with a positive attitude. I realize there are some days when health becomes an issue, but we must make the best of each day we have.

those photos are gorgeous!!!! I would love to see “the south” and the New England area in the fall. All those gorgeous colors would be breathtaking.
from what I am reading……sounds like you guys had a fab. time in Ashville, as I knew you would.
cause wherever my summer breeze “sistas” are, fun abounds.

This is my second message tonight. My other one went bye bye into never never land. Must be a fairy thing!!

I said that it was a positive evening when I got off the plane in Asheville and saw my wonderful SISTAS standing in front of me… except that Miss Bee was hiding behind a pillar.

You my dear SISTA # 7 is LUCKY 7 for sure. I won’t say that word “precious”, lol.

You and CC snuck out and captured that pretty pond while I was still sleeping… but I heard you, I did.

Where was I when that pretty Basilica pic was taken? Talking again??? Beautiful.

Now the one of me? That’s what happens when 2 SISTAS sneak away from the farm and play. You know how to capture a tired girl Claudia ; 0

Here’s to a WONDERFUL time in Asheville, with my 4 out of 6 BESTIES.

    Love you
    Love me

    Hi Claudia Sweetie…
Happy Pink Saturday and what a treasure to find Ms Claudie here as well. You are both SO gorgeous and it tickles me that you all were together with so many other wonderful blogger friends and had a SISTA party. I can’t wait to read all about it, from each of you.

A beautiful fall photo. The basilica is beautiful against the fall colors. You have such a way with the lens of your camera. Beauty is there if you but only look with the right lens. I love your shares sweetie.

I hope to hear from you soon. Have a glorious weekend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Oh Claudia, your photo of the pond in the early morning is so beautiful. I love the lovely building next to the hotel as well. Such beauty. The perfect pink on our darling Claudie.

Our company arrived today and I have not had much time to comment for PS. I’m glad you joined in today.

No sigh of Boots. We think he lives down the street from us. There is a woman who has a lot of cats. Bill saw him there today.

I love your text and the positive attitude you have. Keep it going my sweet friend. It is the only way to go. My mom always told us when we were growing up that we are responsible for our own happiness. It is a big mistake if we expect others to make us happy. You already know this. Sometimes it is a hard path to follow but stay true to yourself.

    Love you and miss you,
    Jeanne xoxoxo

Here’s looking at you, Babe! (Can’t stand “kid”!) I always say you can’t keep a good woman down and it’s true. And how we start our mornings has a lot to do with that. I’ve done the morning prayer thing for years, but about two years ago, I added a morning walk. Well, I can’t tell you how much better I feel, how much better the world looks, how much more energy I have. If I don’t get that a.m. walk, I’m totally out of sorts.

    Keep on keepin’ on!

This was a gorgeous post. I have been thanking God everyday. I actually have been asking for patience and the ability to just be more concerned about me. Your pictures are beautiful you shoot from a place deep in your soul. It was really so wonderful to meet you. I would look at you from afar and say “oh I think that is Dipity Road”. Always beautiful posts. Thank you for all the pictures you took in NC and for your big smiles. Amazing personality! Grace xoox

  9. Claudia,

My morning ritual always starts with thank you.
This is the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it.

Tell me more about Nashville! Was it a blogging conference?

    Your Friend,

  10. Love the Asheville hints of Fall in your pics Claudie ~ The one of Claudie is gorgeous! Love your thoughts on being thankful and how we start our day is how we live it. So true! 🙂 Miss ya friend! xoxo
