Besides the autumn poets sing,
A few prosaic days
A little this side of the snow
And that side of the haze.

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came -
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.
~George Cooper, “October’s Party”

    The dark and cold of fall shows so well in the first photo but then the sun comes out as it is right here right now and the beautiful warm colors of the leaves warm up the day with the sun.

    Hi Claudia,
    I enjoyed the poems you selected, they are my style! We did not have much of a summer in my area, but the autumn has been wonderful. However, my hubby bought a new snow blower for the inevitable winter that is on the horizon.
    I’m glad you enjoyed my Dubai piece.  I’m working on a post I will run on A Beautiful life that gives the background how I ended up so far from home.  Have a nice weekend.
    Cathy
