Can you tell the storm came in from the North?
These are the kind of storms that some states would take “Snow Days”
But not here in Utah– we love it (okokok we still can’t drive in it) be most everyone owns a shovel and certainly a pair of gloves.
Salt Lake City, as many of you may know from the Winter Olympics that were held here, mainly resides in a valley. East and West sides BIGGG ol Mountains. When the wind doesn’t blow and a snow storm stays for a bit our Valley fills with a fog like situation– Weather people call it our INVERSION. People cuss it because not only is it foggy and dreary but also mixed with all the emissions from cars and chimneys.

It still, for me, provides with some great shots if I can get out and find such wonders.

Still I listen to everyone complaining about the dreaded INVERSION –
Enough everyone!!!

Because invariably the winds blow — the snow storm end– and the FANTASTIC blue sky peak out once again!
Please stop by and visit Susan at Southern Daydreamer — see what other Outdoor Wonders are shared.
Have a wonderful Wednesday– See you Friday–Finding Beauty!

And so it begins….
Many of you know that I have recently moved, so for the next while I will be sharing the before and afters of my transition.
I have moved into a lovely condo — but I am not allowed to paint. AND… because I really have a desire to stay safe, I opted for an attached garage– THUS not many windows.

Small nook– the before shot.

I have trucked my wonderful wrought iron bakers rack all over the place– this time choosing to arrange it with creams and whites. (to help brighten the spot)

And I am very partial to Angels and Birds. (you really get to see up close and personal what your likes are when time after time you find in boxes similar themes.)

This wrought flower cart will be such fun to change out with the seasons.

More rooms to share– thanks for hanging in there with me.
Be sure to stop by Mary and her Mosaic Mondays. She is such a talent and you will be in for a real treat if you run through all the blogs that participate with her.
I know it’s about a half-hour early but I am ANNOUNCING the winner of the 100th Blog celebration.
It was about 50/50 on entrants who enjoyed them — so I decided to take all the comments/ button posters / and entries of Friday~Finding Beauty– divide them into two separate boxes. (sorry no hats around) and I drew one winner from EACH!

Nancy from MyLittleCraftyPage – If you will just email me your address She will be on her way to her new home. Congrats! I really enjoyed putting her together for you.

Congrats DeniseMarie from Bloomin- Life is what you make it. If you will email me your address you will be the owner of this sweet Spring Tassel — just to keep you hangin on till spring!
Thank you all so much for participating in my 100th post give away. Such a pleasure to get the opportunity to get to know you all.
Have the best week!

Welcome to Friday~~Finding Beauty!
Also– my 100th post! ( stay tuned for give aways)
Just like the little crusty bulb — not everything that ends up beautiful starts that way. (I was going to give a analogy of how some children aren’t so pretty when they first are born– but, then what mother would ever agree to that statement?
Anyway you get my point… That crusty little bulb, surrounded by dirt after being nurtured and watered, sometimes right before you eyes grows into…

This glorious flower. My mother has a sweet friend who gave her this for Christmas. She has had such fun watching it grow.

Such beauty– and there are more buds to come! (Thanks Stacy!)
As I said earlier– My 100th post!
Wow… has this flown by. My life has been enhanced so much since I have been purposeful in looking for topics to blog about. Taking that moment in time and capturing it. It’s been said– “what good is a great photograph, if its not shared?” Isn’t that the truth? Getting settled into my new home has kept me very busy… (I will be posting before and afters soon) but in the mean time Mother Nature has had us all freezing our hinnies off.

I find myself whispering- hearing the quiet- a far off goose or perhaps a passing train. I shoot shots like this to remind myself years down the road, when we are complaining that it’s been forever since we had a snowy winter– that back in the winter of 09 -10 the country, collectively experienced Cold. It will be another one of those things we all have in common. (okokok…Sept you southern coastal peps!

Shhhh! listen — there isn’t anything like this time of year. I might be crazy, but I am really enjoying the contrast. It’s a time where our lives slow down, we spend more time in our homes, enjoying one another’s company and perhaps cuddling up with a good book. It’s a time to watch what is going on around us with more detailed purpose.
Please stop by Susan’s –A Southern Daydreamer and the others over at Outdoor Wednesday. My guess is that I am not the only one sharing winter wonderland photos.
REMEMBER— This Friday will be my 100th post with a Give away– Also our Friday- Finding Beauty.
I would really enjoy you all sharing what you think is beautiful in your life.

Enjoy your Out Door Wednesday! Have the best week!

Christmas and New Year are behind us! New topic of conversation seems to be WEATHER!
Doesn’t Mother Nature artistry shine once again? As she paints frosty lace on trees and windows.
Everyone seems to have a Cold Weather Story.
My sister in Montana called me saying it was 19 BELOW the other day– that was not the wind chill factored in! Brrrrr

I recall, many years ago, having to run down the snow filled stairs in Montana, when our cute Cozzette (Bision Frise) went out to do her business and she couldn’t get back up the stairs after her tinkle froze her in place!
Poor Babyyyy.
Make sure to stop by Mary’s Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.
Also be sure and bundle the kids up! After watching over and over and over one of my favorites The Christmas Movie– don’t let the kids succumb to the “TRIPLE Dog DARE.”

Just for the sake of wonderment– I promise to NOT share this with your kids– Did you ever take a Triple Dog Dare?
This Friday will be my 100th post — I can not believe I have posted that much; but stop by our Fridays Finding Beauty and see what you could win! And I promise it’s better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!
