Summer seems very shy this year, but I couldn’t be enjoying it more.

Today,I am hooked on my new photo editor, Picasa 3. Some times Photoshop is just too time consuming for me to even attempt. So, I broke out my Picasa and simply added sweet words. Stop by Hooked on houses and see what others are hooked on.

The weekly Pink Saturday (be sure and check the other wonderful Pinks), always a challenge. Each Ivy Cottage has Ivy and just a little touch of pink… can you see it? (yes and there will be a quiz at the end… not really, well maybe, no peeking)

This neighborhood seems to have numerous “Stop a while and rest” Adirondack chairs on several lawns.

This grass was ULTRA green!

The Pink in this is REALLY tricky to find… look Vewwy Cawfully.

A re-visited window box. (to see the BEFORE click here)

I simply love this Purple Awning.
Each one of these treasures are gorgeous standing alone. Not bad for Salt Lake City, Utah huh?
Okokokok… so there really isn’t any pink in the last one, I decided to NOT crop out the owner walking her yard…
cuz she has on PINK!! Tah Dah… everyone had a little PINK!!

As long as I can remember I have been a cloud watcher… even a cloud chaser; trying to find that perfect perch to watch a new painting unfold.

Dark clouded skies seduce me. They draw me in, wanting to get closer.
If, as I am caught in the movement of the dark and light textures, there is a thunder clap, all the more appealing. ABOVE: Montana morning storm rolls in.

And the Thunder rolls – look how the colors come alive. (SOC–straight out of the camera)

My best friend Linda(I think we had to be the old age of 9) had the perfect cloud watching backyard. It was a sloped grassy hill where we could lay for hours finding horses, cats, castles, dragons and Indian Chiefs (mostly they are in profile)– it was a never ending list. “can you see that old man?” I would ask her. “nope– where– show me.” One day she found one that looked exactly like her grandma who had a very large rear end. Holding my sides laughing…I squeaked out …”you said BUTT!” (Do you see the Indian Chief ABOVE?)

Whether they are billowy against a perfect blue sky or slate grey or autumns’ gold– they are mesmerizing.

I promise– just as I finished taking this shot tonight, I noticed the Mama sheep and her baby lambs. The storm had just finished. Look how close they hold to her. I’m sure they are very puzzled by the funny woman taking their family portrait.

A colorful Serendipitous find.

Then there is always the GIFT– the Promise.

Its official — I am hooked on CLOUDS — thanks to Julia at Hooked on Houses for hosting today’s assignment. Check her out– such fun!

Good-morning, My name is Sam Kitty– Would you like a peek into my great life?
I’m a handsome devil don’t you think? I especially enjoy lounging on this bed, not only is it comfy with great sun, but the bedding matches my eyes.

I live with 2 lovely humans, Beeb and Popz. I have them well trained… they brush me daily, they take me on trips on their shoulders, fix great meals, and I even let them sleep with me.

Little history… My sister (Raven, Ravie for short) and I were rescued out of a window well to come live with this wonderful family. I miss her…

My days are found scoping out the neighborhood high atop my windowsill perch.

The west sun is wonderful… until some little munchkin comes pokes me.

I love to nibble on fresh flowers…

But oooh how I enjoy the smell of shoe leather…..ummm better than Catnip.

I have them trained so well that they have a song they sing to me every morning as we start the day… (Sing this to the tune of FLIPPER…ya know…the kids TV from long ago.)
“We call him Sammy, Sammy
Purry Von Whiskers, Tuna-fish Charlie,
Nosey Von Nuzzler…
We call him Sammy,
Lives in A world full of Wonder…
Lying here Under,
Under our Sheets!!”

Ahhh…yes… Live is GOOD!
Meow!

Camera in hand, I took out for a brisk morning walk. The air was moist from the previous evening showers. Colors seemed to pop!

Down a brick path and around some Boston ferns I heard soft quacks coming from the bushes.

“Good morning Mama!” I startled her…she was NOT happy that I was near her lil darlings. I whispered, “be careful, don’t spoil them or they grow up to be dirty lil rats!”

Then I saw him… I had heard him squawk, but could not find him. Then Mr. P hopped down from a railing above me. (ok I said a wee bit of a swear word…sorry) He was not interested in posing at all. He turned and walked away. He did have a nice hind end veiw though.
On my way back to my car I could hear him squawk from a distance VERY loud… I turned and saw him in all his Glory… he had changed his mind on posing… (I guess guys can do that too, you know, change their minds!)

Now for your close up!

Some mornings, its difficult for me to focus through the tears.
Now go check out other Outdoor Wednesday celebrators!
