“All in the Details”… as they say. Look at the siding, the wrought iron railings and window boxes, the masonry. Artist still abound around us. Life is beautiful if we choose to sincerely stop and take a look at all that is around us.

Being ill prepared to join in on a full fledged Tablescape Thursday, I pulled out one of my most recent lunches out! The color of the Raspberry Lemonade was only half as yummy as the taste.

Stop by and see Susan’s full fledged tablescapes… they are glorious!

Dream Inspiring Bedrooms

Filed Under Interior design | 4 comments

As a young girl I used to dream of a fantastic bedroom; somewhere to call my own, with all my loves and desires in one spot. My mother graciously allowed me (remember it was HER home) to choose the color; and surprise surprise– I chose purple–actually Lavender.

Dreaming happen in bedrooms…

I believe that there is a very big difference between Dreaming and Wishing… Dreams do come true– we can make them. Wishes on the other hand are for fairies or elves to grant and they are entirely too wishy washy. (I was never able to rely on them)

Come with me as I share our Model Homes Bedrooms– they are simply Dream inspirations.

Cottage Inspirations

While out on one of my serendipitous adventures; (to come upon or find by accident) I found some of the sweetest cottages. Photographing on cloudy days, for me, are the best.  The colors pop and the contrasts are so much more vibrant.

Nestled up near our University were these sweet abodes. Even though we many only be dreaming of cottage living, I believe we can take inspiration from others and use bits and pieces of that dream to incorporate into our own home.

Step away from the typical and let your unique qualities shine through.

The rock walk way at this entrance was charming.

Each one of these home are inviting… each owner just has to be creative and loves life– don’t you think? Also, look at each of the front doors and how artistic they are.

Simply I was inspired. Check out  the Inspired Room and Hooked on Houses… these women’s blog help me get my creative side thinking!

Signature sign off

Filed Under Musings | No comment

free-tigger-picture.gif

I have recently been playing with signature sign offs.

Big hugs!– I can sincerely picture myself giving everyone who stops by a big hug– But then there’s the Swine Flu to be considered… ok… no touching!

Ciao! So expressive… so ROMANTIC… so what if I’m not Italian?

*sigh*

XOXO – there’s that touchy feely thing again….. but how about “air kisses?”

Then it came to me!! The best sign off ever (or so I think, in terms of the cuteness factor)

TTFN– Tah Tah for Now!  Tiggers’ Famous line.  What??? you forgot who Tigger is? One of my all time favorite Disney Characters…. (see above)

The wonderful thing about Tiggers, is Tiggers are wonderful things… Their tops are made out of rubber, their bottoms are made out of springs. They’re  bouncy, trouncy, flouncy,  pouncy— fun, fun, fun, fun, fun! But the most wonderful thing about tiggers is “He’s” the only one!
